Sunbeams and daydreams

Books are one of my favorite things in the world. If only I were able to read for a living! My poor house is turning into an episode of hoarders: book edition, no joke. As soon as I buy a new bookcase, it's immediately filled to capacity.
I buy most of my books from sales the library hosts, because it's such a great deal ($2 for hardbacks!) and I enjoy being able to support the library.
Today I walked away with this huge box full of books and DVDs, all for $50:
I love used books. Their previous owners often leave items inside the pages, like bookmarks, photos or ticket stubs. It's also fun to read others' notes. Does that make me a creep?

Have you read anything good lately?

"In the highest civilization, the book is still the highest delight. He who has once known its satisfactions is provided with a resource against calamity."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

I love going to the library's used book sales!!!! And I feel the same way about used books. I love when there are personal notes in the front cover.
